We reconfigured the countertop to remove the snack ledge and added an accent wall on the exterior cabinetry. We replaced the laminate countertops with quartz, replaced the backsplash with a herringbone design, replaced all the cabinet doors with a shaker style profile and soft close hinges. We finished it all off by painting everything including whitewashing the fireplace. The homeowners enjoyed much of the upgrades that come with a full kitchen remodel at greatly reduced cost because the carcass of the cabinetry was able to be saved.
