The bathroom was completely gutted and the floor plan changed, which included expanding into the bedroom closet to increase square footage. The goal was to be able to accommodate a resident who can access the bathroom with a wheelchair. We replaced the railing by the stairwell with a half wall, covering it with barnwood shiplap, which was also applied to other parts of the dining room. The door to the bathroom was replaced with a barn door. The front facade of the home was also upgraded.
